The inspiration is taken from Home’s numerous deck designs showcased over the years, from simple photographic headshots of famous skaters to exaggerated, over-the-top illustrations. I wanted to create something that mirrored the character and wit seen in the skate community’s archive of designs, with a nod to the lovable 2000’s cartoon skateboarder “Max” (An Extremely Goofy Movie). This prioritized showcasing my illustration abilities with an ostentatious character design, emphasizing the building many Louisville skaters call Home.
